Here's a suggestion for keeping yourself clean while in the shop. I don't know about you folks, but I seem to get my t-shirts very dirty just performing the simplist of task. Solution: Maybe the Forum could have some aprons printed with the OLF logo. The colors could be red green or anything that appeals to the majority. Thus having your clothes stay clean. If you think this is a good idea maybe you can contact Lance and see what he thinks. thanks, walter ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

As I seeit, th4e main problem with your shirts getting DIRTY, is that you continue to put on CLEAN ones. Any good luthier understands that getting dirty comes with the territory (I love it when my students are sanding ebony, then wipe their faces and look like a chimney sweeper ![]() So the solution is simple .. you do NOT need an apron, you NEED to put yesterdays dirty shirt back on, and proceed to the shop, where, it will continue to get more dirty. When your significant other complains, put on a new one, and repeat. I usually can get 3-4 days out of one shirt, saves on laundry too - or in other words, thats called saving for zoot and tools. |

Tony in the fall through early spring i wear a med weight short sleeve Dicky's one piece jumper over jeans and a tee shirt. It might get washed every 2 weeks or so, but it keeps my close relatively clean ![]() But I still want a OLF apron!!!!!! ![]() |

An OLF apron is a great idea Walter and i'm glad to see you post more often BTW ![]() Wouldn't it be cool if it were offered with next year's subscription? Or have it in our boutique, along with the plans? Serge |

Way cool idea. I'm in for an apron (the only one I'd wear!) and a cap, especiallys since they are getting snarky at work and starting to get picky about enforcing all the rules, which means I need a soft cap to wear when I'm outside. |

I'll jump on an aprom or two if they have the OLF logo on them. I have one hanging in my shop that a logo of some sort on it at one time....I don;t even remember what it was so it's obviously time for a new apron. A baseball style hat with the logo would end up on my wish list in duplicate pretty quickly, too. I always buy to hats of any style that i like....one to wreck in the shop and another to keep clean and suitable for runs out in public. My wife really gets ticked when I wear one of those hats from the shop with the Ebony dust rubbed into the brim and all of the spots a gobs from shots of sprays and oils and things that it keeps out of my hair. By the way, Lance and Brock, great idea on the auction site and software. I'll look forward to putting it to use as soon as it's up and running. Thanks for all the time and effort you guys put in to give us the finest place on the web to hang out at. ...Oh yeah! The t-shirts with the OLF logo would round out the merchandise package nicely, too. I'll jump in for a pair of those when they show up as well. Regards, Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars |
A baseball style hat with the logo would end up on my wish list in duplicate pretty quickly, too.
Why is it always baseball, why not a football helmet with the OLF logo on it? Working in the shop naked, with an OLF helmet on, that's a bold statement, in my book! It shows commitment! ![]() ![]() ![]() Besides, it would really help with go-bar boing! Billy Dean Thomas |

Wanna keep ya clothes clean in the workshop? What you can do is put them on inside out while youre in the workshop....when you leave the shp you simply turn them back the right way..clean side out. Works for me... |

I always put on one of my old lab coats, in the shop, I like to keep my shop lab clean. The asdvantage of a lab coat is that you sleaves and back stay clean as well. Colin |

And my luck, the first time I tried it would be with something I'm allergic to. ![]() |
